Must-See 2019 Movies

Captain Marvel

Starring Brie Larson as Captain Marvel, or Carol Danvers, this film is directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck. We follow Danvers, former U.S. Air Force Fighter pilot, in a galactic war between different alien races. This film is coming out on March 9th of this year. 

Avengers: End Game

Following Avengers: Infinity War, the final Avengers’ film will pick up where it left off with, “Mr. Stark, I don’t feel so good.” The remaining Avengers: Thor, Black Widow, Captain America, and the Hulk need to bring back their lost friends from the “oblivion.” The movie will be released on the 26th of April.


This live action Disney remake starring Will Smith as the voice for the genie and Mena  Massoud as the voice of Aladdin, will follow Aladdin and the Genie through his journey from rags to riches. The movie is coming out May 29th.

Toy Story 4

The third sequel to Toy Story, comes out this Summer, on June 21. This beloved Pixar series will still follow the main toys, Buzz Lightyear, voiced by Woody Allen, and Sheriff Woody, voiced by Tom Hanks. “Forky” will also join the gang on a road trip amongst the best friends. Mark your calendar kids, because this will be a toy-riffic movie!

The Lion King

The second live action Disney movie on this list will follow Simba and his journey through the jungle. There is no worries when watching this fun movie coming to theaters on July 19th. The movie stars Simba voiced by Donald Glover, Nala voiced by Beyonce, and Seth Rogen who voices Pumbaa.

Spider-Man: Far From Home

For the third movie in the spider man franchise, Peter Parker (Tom Holland) travels to England for a school field trip, when unexpectedly Nick Fury shows up and recruits him to fight the infamous Mysterio to stop him from destroying the continent. 

IT: Chapter 2

The second IT movie will be following the Losers Club 27 years after the first horrific attack on the small town of Derry, Maine. The whole crew will come back and fight  Pennywise again, after receiving a phone call that the clown has come out of its hibernation.

Frozen 2

The very anticipated follow up to Frozen, Frozen 2 will be following the original story of Anna, Kristoff, Olaf, and of course, Queen Elsa. Elsa will finally learn how to have fun and love again and use her destructive powers for good and not evil. This animation will come out on the 22nd of November.

Star Wars: Episode IX

After the highly anticipated restart of the Star Wars industry, this film will take place a year after The Last Jedi, and will further develop the plot and adventures throughout the Star Wars universe with Rey, Finn, and Poe Dameron.


Based on the best selling novel by Anna Todd, After is the story of Tessa Young, a level-headed and ambitious young women whose life is changed forever when she arrives at her college dorm for the first time. She soon meets the rude and vulgar Hardin Scott, and the two spontaneously begin an uncertain relationship.
