1.Head to the beach: Here in Walnut Creek we live fairly close to many beaches. You can head to Stinson Beach which is an hour and a half away or Santa Cruz which is about the same distance away. Although it is colder, San Francisco also offers beaches that are a bit closer.
2. See a Movie: Going to see a movie is always a fun option. Invite a few friends to see some of the many movies offered this Spring Break, including Five Feet Apart (a drama/romance), Captain Marvel (a Sci-Fi fantasy), or Captive State (a thriller fantasy).
3. Go on a Picnic: Grab some sandwiches at a local sandwich shop such as The Yellow Submarine in San Francisco, and then drive 10 minutes to West Bluff Picnic Area and Beach. This picnic spot is near Crissy Fields and offers stunning views of the Golden Gate Bridge. Another option that is a shorter drive is Grizzly Peak in Oakland, which also offers an amazing view of San Francisco.
4. Go on a Hike: Mount Diablo State Park has 72 fun trails to hike on, and it is just a quick drive away. As you hike, you will most likely come across beautiful wild flowers, native animals, and gorgeous views.
5. Go Bowling or Mini Golfing: Diablo Valley bowl in Concord is affordable and provides endless entertainment. Urban Putt is a new, trendy mini golf location in San Francisco with delicious food and uniquely decorated rooms.
