// The month of March is typically known for events like March Madness or St. Patrick’s Day, but there is also the celebration of creative ideas: International Ideas Month. Things used on a day-to-day basis like air conditioning, or vaccines are inventions created to help peoples’ everyday lives. These all start from the creative ideas happening inside the brain, which slowly makes its way into the world.

Many of these creative ideas have helped out today’s society in many different ways. One way would be particularly through saving many lives from a certain problem. Maybe a small issue in someone’s life or something that everyone faces on a day-to-day basis. Without these small problems, many inventions wouldn’t even be here today as people would’ve never made it to help with these problems. According to the World Economic Forum, inventions like sunscreen or toilets have saved millions of people from the problem of potential skin cancer to a better, cleaner way to dispose of waste. Both were made by an individual, creative inventor who dedicated their lives to creating revolutionary ideas. Ever wondered who created your phone or other entertainment devices? Those were also made by creative inventors who saw a deficiency in what human life could be, and sought to improve it through their inventions.

As a way to celebrate International Ideas Month, value the importance of each individual creation that is inside one’s home. Everyone has a valuable, creative idea that could potentially be of use, whether it looks like it or not. Creativity is the source of all useful ideas, so get creative during the month of March.
